It's Official

Hey Everyone! I bought my plane ticket on Sunday and today I have confirmed lodging at the Green Valley Guest House. I am leaving January 6th and coming back March 17th. I have my passport and just need two more shots.

I am getting a little nervous about the trip but very excited. Thank you to everyone who has helped support my internship.

It came in the mail

I offically can go abroad!!! My passport came last Saturday and it is begging for a stamp. I have to break in this puppy somehow. It is new and pretty.
I also only have two shots left to get, Flu and Menegitis. I hope these won't hurt as bad as the last five.

Half Way There

Hey Everyone!

I am half way to my fundraising goal of $5,000!!! Thank you so much for your support! This week I am applying for my passport and buying my plane ticket. Next week I am going to get vaccinated (a lot :) )

Hello Everyone!!!

Welcome to my blog. I will be using this to communicate my experiences while I am ion Uganda. I will be leaving the first week of January and will return the thrid week of March. First I will have the feat of raising $5,000 for my plane ticket and to pay for living expenses while I am there, as I will be an intern working for the ZEMBA Children's Foundation (ZEMBA.org). Please be patient while I figure out this blogging thing. I will post about getting ready for this oppurtunity and when get to Uganda I will try to post every week and update with pictures.
